Welcome to The John Krause Studio.
Guitar. Voice. Coaching. All in one spot.
Hi, my name is John Krause. Welcome to my site! Happy you’re here. Like so many, I pivoted during the pandemic. Up until March 2020 I was solely a performer. I worked on Broadway in shows like Hadestown and Wicked, and put out music under my name. Then, once the pandemic hit, I began teaching guitar lessons and offering vocal coaching as way to connect to the outside world. But soon after I began, I found I had a true passion for teaching. Out of this passion has come The John Krause Studio. Whether you’ve been putting off getting guitar lessons, or need to get your vocal chops up, this is the place for you. Book an appointment below and let’s get you on the right track!
What People Are Saying
“John did a fantastic job of balancing our lessons between technical exercises that continued to grow my abilities as a guitarist, with song choices that we could then apply those technical exercises to! As a teacher he did a great job of reminding me to slow down, and break up songs into smaller components to tackle challenging sections individually before putting it all back together.”
— Joe, NY
“Guitar lessons with John have been so worthwhile for me! He is a skilled and caring teacher who has worked with my complete lack of musical knowledge with patience and understanding. His lessons are fun and I look forward to them every week. He throws in just the right amount of music theory with our playing to keep me questioning and learning as my skills progress. He is always willing to go over something again or explain it in a different way that helps me understand it better. I couldn't ask for a better teacher as his passion for teaching shines through in every lesson and I am inspired by him to become a better guitar player.”

“John is the absolute best. A kind, patient, thorough teacher with a passion for the guitar that is abundantly clear. Whether you’re a beginner looking to dive in or someone looking to hone your skills further, John is your guy.”
